MITSUBISHI SALES SURGE 35%
8 April 2010
Mitsubishi Motors posts a strong start to 2010 as its first quarter's month-on-month growth reflects buyer enthusiasm for the brand's new product line-up.
"Our new high-performance Triton, Challenger and Outlander models in particular have found a very receptive audience" said head of sales and marketing strategy Daniel Cook. "While the January-March market for all brands of car and light commercial vehicles was up 10.3% over the same period last year, Mitsubishi's sales were up 35%."
"Seeing customers vote with their dollars so decisively indicates a strong year ahead for Mitsubishi. And we still have a new-product surprise or two up our sleeves".
Daniel Cook said that a key factor in the brand's success was the "unprecedented" 10/5 Diamond Advantage warranty that Mitsubishi introduced last November. "New Zealand's most comprehensive warranty and customer care package is clearly becoming a major influence".
