Cleaner and meaner engines for Shogun in 2009 range

New cleaner emission 370 ps and 430 ps engines fitted to 2009 model Shoguns deliver improved performance and fuel economy, and improved retardation from the Powertard engine brake.

Key features of the new engines are:

Variable geometry turbo delivers improved power and torque at lower RPM

Exhaust gas recirculation with a heat exchanger ensures more effective gas re-burn

Second generation common rail fuel injection refines the accuracy of the injection pressure and timing

Maximum power and torque are achieved at 10 percent lower revs and Powertard retardation is increased between 1500 rpm and 2000 rpm.

A box muffler, lifelong maintenance free catalytic converter and emission filter are standard.

Shoguns are one of the most popular heavy weight trucks on the New Zealand market, ideally suited to a wide range of applications with an outstanding reputation for reliability built over the past 35 years.
