The innovative new i-car features a rear-mounted intercooled turbo 660cc MIVEC engine with 4 speed automatic transmission. The long wheelbase gives greater interior space, which combined with the rear engine layout, provides agile handling, ride comfort, excellent braking stability and easy round-town manoeuvrability.

The i-car's convenient features include numerous storage spaces, keyless entry, digital speedometer, inbuilt alarm system and fold flat rear seats. Fuel consumption for the i-car is 5.43L/100km and emissions are as much as 50% below current NZ and international standards.
